Linear progression
Season 0 progression is measured in Productive Farm Time — not ordinary browser-open time.
Stages
| Stage | Requirement | Approximate productive time |
|---|---|---|
| Repair the well | Starting resources | 15 minutes |
| Open Alpaca Pasture | Feed stock + repaired gate | 1 hour |
| Open Timber Grove | Pen level 2 + wool | 3 hours |
| Open Stone Yard | Sawmill + planks | 7 hours |
| Open Craft Road | Workshop materials | 15 hours |
| Complete Heritage Farm | Cart + Grand Barn | 30 hours |
Productive Farm Time
Simply counting how long a tab is open would be trivially automated. Instead, a minute counts as Productive Farm Time only when:
- The game is connected to the Rust backend.
- The player has interacted during the preceding few minutes.
- The session is not paused or hidden for an extended period.
- The actions follow valid production and collection timings.
- The account has not reached its daily credited-time limit.
Limits
Maximum credited time: 4 hours per rolling 24 hours
Inactivity timeout: 5 minutes
Offline production storage: maximum 4 hours
Building and production timers continue while the player is offline, but offline time does not count toward NFT eligibility. Casual players can return to stored resources without letting anyone farm eligibility by leaving a tab open for days.
The daily cap means the rarest 30-hour reward cannot be reached before roughly eight days. That gives the system time to detect obvious automation and prevents the entire collection disappearing during the first night.
Anti-abuse
No system can perfectly guarantee "one human equals one wallet". For the rarest tier the backend combines:
- Wallet limits (one NFT per tier per wallet).
- CAPTCHA at account creation and claim.
- Device / IP risk signals.
- Manual review of highly suspicious accounts.
A custom on-chain program would not solve multi-wallet abuse by itself, so none is used for progression.
