Resources & crafting

The Season 0 economy is deliberately small enough that players immediately understand it. All resources are off-chain: they have no external monetary value and cannot be withdrawn to a wallet.

Exact resource costs may be rebalanced after playtesting, but the time sequence should remain predictable.

Where crafting runs

Crafting does not require a custom Solana program. Resources live in MongoDB and the Rust backend is the authoritative crafting engine:

ALPUN = tradable on-chain SPL token
GRASS = off-chain game resource
WATER = off-chain game resource
WOOD = off-chain game resource
...

Every craft is validated server-side (inputs present, station built, timer elapsed) and recorded in the inventory ledger with an idempotency key, so a craft can never be credited twice.

Rare crafting achievements

Ordinary carts stay in MongoDB. Completing a notable crafting chain can create an NFT reward entitlement instead — for example the Golden Alpaca Cart tier of the Season 0 collection:
